While researching to write this piece, something caught my attention.
“Take this quiz to find out what kind of bride you are”.

The questions of the different quizzes varied from “what’s your ideal holiday location?” , “what kind of wedding colour would you like?”, “how do you handle pressure?”.

Have you ever taken a quiz like this and what result did you end up with?

We know that no 2 humans are same therefore there’s no size for all approach to handling a bride.
We also know that there are brides that make planning go so smoothly and the one’s that can’t seem to let go of the planning to the planner.

Here’s 4 kinds of brides and how to handle them –

1. The one that makes it rain –
What is the purpose of money if not to spend it is this brides mantra. It’s the most important day and no expenses is to be left out. Budget what? She doesn’t know that word.

2. Cut it –
“Ahn! Why so expensive? Isn’t there a more affordable deal?” This bride wants the best wedding but she wants to cut the prices. She wants the biggest photographer, the best menu but her hands are clasped inside her pocket.

3. The “mogbe” bride –
This is the bride who’s best friend is worry. The day is even more important to her than the man she’s getting married to. It has to be perfect so even the tiniest detail has to be perfect. But this lady just can’t seem to trust the planner enough. If she could, she would be the caterer, the videographer, the florist, the event decorator. She always has complaints.

4. The chilled bride –
She almost always forget she’s about to get married. Her aloofness bothers everyone. What’s important to her is the man she’s getting married to. Left to her, she will get married in Vegas in half and hour and get on with her life.

There’s no one size fit all way to handle the different kinds of brides. The best thing to do is to get to know your bride and find what the best way it is to assuage her and give her more than she imagined.

Our business is to take up all the stress of wedding planning off your hands, trust the planner and enjoy your big day.
